Frankie Frog
Frankie Frog was a project started in my second year in TUS Athlone. We were tasked with creating a children's book, teaching kids how to count from 1-10 and include the concept of 0. I created a frog character named Frankie, inspired by Frog and Toad, who asked the reader to help bake some cupcakes. The concept behind the book is a magnet book. The reader would have a corresponding number of magnets for each ingredient Frankie needed. At the end, Frankie would eat all the cupcakes, so there were 0 cupcakes.
Moving Further with Frankie
Since this project, I've expanded on Frankie's story. Frankie's gender is never specified, allowing readers/viewers to think of them as an older brother or sister, or to allow them to see themselves in Frankie.

Frankie is now the eldest of 4 frogs, including Freddy, Faye and Fionna. Each character will have their own specialized stories, as well as more generalized stories.
Freddy's stories will be about his autism and the weather, as the weather is his special interest. His stories will also discuss the importance of individualism, and how it's okay to not always fit in, as he's the only froglet in his class who hasn't grown out of his tail.
Faye's stories will be about accessibility as she is still a tadpole, not yet growing her arms. Her stories will also heavily feature Fionna, as her birth means Faye is no longer the youngest and how she learns to come to terms with the new baby.
Fionna is the new baby of the family, being introduced a little later in the series. Her stories will primarily focus on family dynamics.
I'm looking forward to Frankie's future to see where it takes me!
